Surely the main bay's OS X performance won't hang due to the drive in the optical bay? If anyone could please help me, I am in desperate need to get this sorted. Since you have one of each, I'd suggest using the 6Gbps drive in the main bay and the 3Gbps drive in the optical, just for the guaranteed operability. If you are having installation problems, I recommend trying this method. Also Sleep issues might occur when placing a HD in the optical bay (a total freezing system). These systems more than capable for what your doing - systems long more I/O storage limited than processor/architecture.
