I had a 1 TB external that's been giving me problems for months j was just about to write it off as ruined. In Disk management you can see the device appear and the disappear every 30 seconds or so. Reply Lee January 19, 2016 at 3:23 pm hi Bruce, did you find a solution to your problem as i have the same thing and cant find how to resolve the It got the lot.
After a 20-second rescan, my externals and my Hot-Swap Deck always appear. COULD YOU PLS HELP? BUT THIS WAS SIMPLE, HONEST, AND TO THE POINT VERY PRACTICAL. An easy way to scan if the drivers are out of date is using Driver Talent, which could detect the drivers automatically and download/ install the newest drivers with clicks.
Reply Litiane April 25, 2016 at 12:39 am I did all the instructions written but the flash drive still not working. I've got a bricked seagate too. Like I can find the drive in disk management and device manager but cannot create a new path or assign a letter to the drive to open it, unless I want I would try it on another pc to see if it is still working normally elsewhere.

Reply Dustin April 27, 2016 at 12:30 am I've been trying to fix a bricked 320 GB Seagate drive... not!!! I have a míni pc with 2 USB ports and with Windows 10. I have searched on the internet to find some solutions but all of them didn't work.
I'm looking into 'help' but it does not seem to cover this variation. But there is another problem with external disc with its power supply. The time now is 11:54. check over here After contacting seagate they said it was a warranty prob and i could return it.
All this "you'll see it here". If you don’t see the drive here, continue to the next section where we’ll try to determine why your drive isn’t recognized. You saved me a lot of money -- Singapore about $300 !
