I tried OmniDiskSweeper, and it only recognized 200GB of my hard drive. Spotlight's status bar when you click the magnifying glass doesn't say it's indexing anything and seems to be searching okay, so is this unusual? Add to Want to watch this again later?
Maybe it's indexing the time machine drive? Even after I have disabled Spotlight indexing my entire HD, whenever Time Machine launches for a backup, mds does too. I personally would use the firewire as a cloned bootable backup and the USB for data (those large music, photo, video, etc files)3. Loading...
