kind of sounds like it is, but I only get 3 channels. If you wiggle the jack in the socket do you hear anything then? If I fiddle, bend and twist the connection at the back of the woofer - I can sometimes get a hint of it working for a second or so. Once overcome the left volume acts perfectly normal ad can be adjusted to a normal listening level.
